Synthesis, Crystal Structure and Antibacterial Evaluation of Di-μ-chlorido-bis({2-[(4-methoxyphenyl)- iminomethyl]pyridine-κ2N,N']Mercury(II)
New coordination polymer of [HgLCl2]n (1) with HgCl2 and Schiff base bidentate ligand (4-methoxyphenyl) pyridine-2yl methyleneamine (L) was prepared and structurally characterized. In the 1D network structure of 1, the mecury (II) ion adopts an HgN2Cl3 distorted square pyramid geometry. In this complex, one of the chlorine acts as bridging ligand connecting two adjacent mercury(II) ions while, ...

In the title mol-ecule, C7H7Br2N, the C-Br vectors of the bromo-methyl groups extend to opposite sides of the pyridine ring and are oriented nearly perpendicular to its plane. In the crystal, the mol-ecules related by a c-glide-plane operation are arranged into stacks along the c axis, with centroid-centroid distances between neighboring aromatic rings of 3.778 (2) Å. A short Br⋯Br contact of 3...
متن کامل2,6-Bis(tosyloxymethyl)pyridine
The title compound, C(21)H(21)NO(6)S(2), is organized around a twofold axis parallel to the crystallographic c axis and containing the N atom and a C atom of the pyridine ring. The tosyl moiety and the pyridine ring are both essentially planar [maximum deviations 0.028 (2) and 0.020 (3) Å, respectively]; their mean planes form a dihedral angle of 33.0 (2)°.

In the title compound, C(7)H(7)Cl(2)N, a halogenated derivative of 2,6-lutidine, the C-Cl vectors of the chloro-methyl groups point at opposite sides of the aromatic plane to each other. A weak dispersive Cl⋯Cl contact [3.4342 (3) Å] connects the mol-ecules into a chain along the [101] direction. A π-π inter-action with a centroid-centroid distance of 3.7481 (5) Å is also observed.
متن کاملBis-trimethylsilylcefamandole: an unusually stable trimethylsilyl-intermediate.
The preparation of crystalline bis-trimethylsilylcefamandole (7) and its utility in the preparation and purification of cefamandole are described. Although stable to solvolysis in isopropyl alcohol, 7 underwent smooth conversion to cefamandole in the presence of water, methanol, or ethanol.
